In order to overcome the recent and ongoing financial crisis, the world is struggling to implement appropriate and timely policies. Like New Deal Policies during the Great Depression, diverse ˇ°newˇ± New Deals are released around the world for economic growth and job-creation. U.S. President Barack Obama announced a New Deal Plan for economic stimulus after his inauguration, while the Korean government declared ˇ°Great New Dealˇ± policies on January 6. 2009.
What makes the New Deal plan in the 21st century different from the previous one? In this century, we live in an information society. The ICT industry has played a role as an important force driving growth, transforming our socio-economic structure. Its impact is expected to increase in the future with business intelligence and convergence.
